Halloween Sugar Cookies!

I got in the spirit of the season and decided to make some halloween themed sugar cookies. They are actually being decorated by children at my friend's daughter's birthday party, so the are unfrosted.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

This was my first baking venture since unemployment.

Devil's Food with Buttercream

This was my first experience with piping. I used a ziploc bag with the corner cut.

Black and White cupcakes

I made chocolate malt cupcakes and buttermilk cupcakes frosted with vanilla buttercream and dark chocolate ganache icing.

That is what I have done so far. As I bake, will add to the list.

Newfound Passion

I have recently discovered this passion I have to bake. It came to me at a crossroads in my life. I find myself 23, college graduate, unemployed. I am in the process of planning a wedding and waiting until my fiancee finishes college so we can begin our lives as grown-ups. So in the meantime, I have discovered baking. For me, baking is a joy. I really love making things that other people enjoy. It makes me truly happy when my friends ask me what I have baked recently. So I continue to bake. I will chronicle my cupcakes and cookies as I bake my way through life.
